Prayer Warriors - Handicap Ministry
God gave our pastor, Harold Council, a burden to get handicapped people to church over a quarter of a century ago. Ever since then, Southland has made a way for the disabled at nursing homes and at home to come and serve our Lord. We have our own spacious Sunday school facility fully equipped with his and her handicap bathrooms, sound equipment, refrigerator, and coffee bar. We currently have a contract with Paducah Area Transit Systems to bring us to Sunday school and church. We also have our own handicap bus for outings and emergencies. We have had the same director for over 20 years and our goal is to continue to be a fruit bearing ministry.
